A Contemporary Sublimated Suicide

In this project, I present a poignant collection of artwork that stems from my experiences as a Trans person of colour who has confronted the devastating impacts of Evangelical Conversion Therapy.

Through this artistic endeavour, I attempt to illuminate the persistent influence of Biopolitics and Naturalist Morality in our contemporary society, specifically their growing infiltration into the digital landscape.

My artwork delves into the profound exploration of the distorted body image forcibly imposed upon me during conversion therapy and the exclusive and harmful nature of technology for individuals like myself. By purposefully embracing and over-identifying with this distorted image, I intend to convey the raw and profound pain and trauma inflicted by these oppressive forces.
My art is an urgent call to action, urging viewers to confront and challenge the enduring Biopolitical and Naturalist Moralities perpetuating harm within marginalized communities. Through my artistic expression, I aspire to inspire others to join me in the fight for a more inclusive and accepting physical and digital world.

Together, let us foster an environment where the voices and experiences of marginalized communities are acknowledged, cherished, and amplified and where the shackles of Biopolitics and digital exclusion are dismantled in favour of a truly equitable and compassionate society.
